Starting with Friendship ABA is a clear and guided process.
We handle the paperwork and communication with your insurance so you can focus on your child.

Step 1: Intake Call
We begin with a brief phone call to ensure our program is a good fit for your family. If so, we’ll request three documents to begin the insurance authorization process:
-
A copy of your child’s diagnostic report (for example, confirming an autism spectrum diagnosis)
- A copy of your insurance card, front and back
-
The Friendship ABA New Client Intake Form
Step 2: Insurance Submission
Our administrative team submits all required documents to your insurance company to request authorization for an intake assessment.
Step 3: Comprehensive Intake Assessment
Once approved, your BCBA will complete a full assessment that includes:
-
Direct observation of your child
-
A detailed interview with parents or caregivers
-
Review of developmental and medical history
-
Completion of standardized behavioral and developmental questionnaires
After the assessment, the BCBA will design an individualized six-month treatment plan outlining goals, teaching methods, and data collection procedures.
Step 4: Plan of Care Submission
The finalized treatment plan is submitted to your insurance provider for review and authorization of therapy hours.
Step 5: Service Begins!
As soon as insurance approval is received, your child is paired with a trained Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). We typically begin sessions within one week of receiving authorization, ensuring a smooth and timely start to care.
