ABA Therapy and Special Education Support in Greater Cleveland
Special education gives your child structure at school. ABA therapy builds the skills that make that structure work — communication, focus, independence, and confidence. Friendship ABA is an ABA therapy center in Pepper Pike, not a school, and that distinction is the point: we work alongside your child's classroom, not in place of it, so progress in one setting carries into the other.
How ABA supports special education
A strong special education plan sets goals. ABA helps a child reach them. Our relationship-based model — built on Verbal Behavior Development Theory (VBDT), developed at Columbia University — focuses on how a child learns, so the communication and behavior skills built in therapy show up in the classroom. Progress made with us is meant to travel with your child to school, not stay behind at the clinic.

"School preparedness and confidence" is one of the core skill areas we build every day, alongside communication and language, social connection and play, and independence in daily routines. Friendship ABA partners with families and schools so children learn in ways that respect who they are. That means our clinicians can collaborate with the educators and support staff in your child's building — sharing strategies and keeping goals consistent across settings — so your child isn't getting two disconnected plans.
